Sue
is currently undergoing Interferon treatments for Hepatitis
C for 48 weeks. Sadly she doesn't have medical insurance.
So the frequent doctor visits, blood tests, and additional
medications she requires each month have already taxed
Sue financially.
Anyone
who knows Sue, knows she is great lady who's a good friend
to many, many people and anyone who has had the Hep C
treatment knows how crazy expensive it is and about the
horrible side effects. Not only are we trying to raise
funds to help Sue, but to create an awareness of the disease
and how important it is to get tested.

The plans for the party are coming together
well. The entertainment is booked and set but we can squeeze
in a couple more musicians during the Jam – if you
are interested, let us know now!!!
We're anticipating a fantastic turn out and with the
band line up we have for this event, it's sure to be a
great time for all!
So come listen to some of Brevard's best musicians and
enjoy the day with a 50/50 raffle and additional raffle
drawings every hour for really cool prizes. When was the
last time you were able to enjoy the treats at a good
ol' fashioned bake sale? You can take home a whole dessert
or just purchase a piece or two of many! Be sure to check
out our silent auction tent for some awesome items donated
by some very talented artists.
We still need help with supplies for the party and general
donations. If you have liquor, soda, water you’d
like to donate, contact Rhonda and she’ll arrange
to have it picked up before the event. If you want to
help us with the baked goods, just bring your goodies
on the day of the event. If you want to help with the
other food, the best way is to donate some money, and
our Grille Master, Billy Riggs, will get the supplies
he needs and buy more as needed. We have to control the
purchase, transport and storage of the hot food for health
and safety reasons. So for burgers, hotdogs, and buns,
please just donate money & don't bring a supply along
that day.
So, how can you give money to the event and/or to the
benefit? I’m glad you asked. You have three options:
(1) Send a check made payable to Sue Luley or Rhonda Winningham
for the SuLuBash and mail it in care of Jack Link Associates,
1729 Cogswell Street, Rockledge, FL 32955
(2) Stop in at any Washington Mutual bank and make a contribution
on behalf of “Sue Luley”
(3) And the least amount of effort: Use PayPal to make
a contribution to “sulubash@yahoo.com”. There
is a “Donate” button below that links directly
to PayPal with the necessary info already set up.
So the big question left is: Why should
you donate? One good reason would be to support someone
who has done so much for our community. Sue has helped
stage a number of events hosting great music entertainment
while raising funds and/or public awareness for various
worthy causes.
Another good reason: Free publicity!
We’ll be posting a list of people who donate in
money or in kind to this event on SpaceCoastLive.com
The Florida Blood Center mobile donation unit (Bus) will
be on site from noon until 5pm. Your blood is taken and
tested prior to use. This is how numerous folks have learned
that they had Hep C. We'll be posting info including a
link to their site so you can see what the requirements
& restrictions are in the event you want to donate
blood. Blood collected by FBC stays in our community,
and it is a vital resource for people who have suffered
traumatic injuries or awaiting surgery. So, think about
it, Please!
